Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has signed supplementary power purchase agreements (PPAs) and new PPAs with three power generating companies. The signing of the agreements follows the Malaysian Energy Commission’s selection of the companies in October 2012 under the Track 2 tender. The successful bidders were Genting Sanyen Power Sendirian Berhad, Segari Energy Ventures Sendirian Berhad, and TNB Pasir Gudang Energy Sendirian Berhad. The new PPAs will take effect immediately after the expiry of the supplementary agreements. They include a 10-year extension period for both Genting Sanyen Power and Segari Energy Ventures, and a five-year period for TNB Pasir Gudang Energy.
