Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) has announced the appointment of Imri Mokhtar as its new managing director (MD) and group CEO, effective August 1, 2020. Mokhtar has succeedthe former MD/CEO Datuk Noor Kamarul Anuar Nuruddin. Mokhtar has over 24 years of experience in telecommunications and strategy. Prior to this, he had been serving as COO at Celcom Axiata Berhad since May 1,2020, where he was responsible for driving operational excellence throughout the organisation. He has also served as COO at TM, where he was responsible for the business operations of unifi, TM ONE and TM Global. Prior to his appointment as TM’s COO, he was executive vice president of unifi.
