Three 10 MW biomass plants, worth PhP 1 billion each, will be constructed in Bukidnon province. The Department of Energy (DOE) has approved the operating contract of First Bukidnon Electric Cooperative to implement the project. Construction of the plants will begin in Don Carlos, Kalilangan, and Malaybalay City, with commissioning slated for 2015. Once operational, these plants will help to boost the power supply requirements of the feed millers in the province and neighbouring areas.
