Theta Telecoms Sdn Bhd, a communication service provider, has been selected as the designated universal service provider (USP) by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for the provision and execution of the Jalinan Digital Negara (JENDELA) Phase 1 project.

The company will be in charge of overseeing the supply, delivery, and installation of the tower structures and their components to provide cellular services to 221 sites throughout 14 clusters across Malaysia. The total estimated cost of the project is RM154.36 million, which includes all relevant government taxes.

The project will take nine months to complete from the date of notice acceptance.
