The Ministry of Public Works and Transport reviewed works in 2020 and set objectives for 2021.
The main types of infrastructure construction were identified as upgrading roads, expressway construction, bridges, railway, ports, wastewater treatment facilities on mainland and maritime transport.
The Ministry stated that Cambodia’s 38-road construction project is currently 11.6 per cent complete, the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville expressway construction is 31 per cent complete, and the 1,331 metre-long Kroch Chmar-Stung Treng Bridge construction is 96 per cent complete. The construction of National Road 5 connecting Prek Kdam and Poipet city is on schedule as well.
