The Governments of Vietnam and South Korea are expanding railway cooperation following discussions focused on financial support, private investment (PPP), and transit-oriented development (TOD) for Vietnam’s urban railways and the 1,541km North-South High-Speed Railway project.
South Korea is seeking opportunities for its railway industry to participate in Vietnam’s railway expansion, leveraging its expertise in urban transit systems. Vietnamese officials expressed interest in learning from Korea’s railway development experience, marking the meeting as a potential starting point for deeper cooperation.
