The Government of Vietnam has launched a 23.83-km road in Hung Yen province, which connects the Hanoi-Hai Phong and Cau Gie-Ninh Binh expressways. This road, built at a cost of over VND1.77 trillion, starts from the Hanoi-Hai Phong expressway in Yen My district and extends to Hung Yen city, linking with a road crossing Ha Nam province before connecting with the Cau Gie-Ninh Binh expressway. Vehicles can travel at speeds up to 80 km/hr, aimed at enhancing the use of the two expressways and easing transport pressure on Hanoi.
In addition to the main road, side roads are under construction with a total investment of over VND1.41 billion, scheduled for completion in September 2024. Construction works have also commenced for Tan Phuc-Vong Phan road, which will span 29.2 km and develop at a total investment of over VND2.98 trillion from the local budget. This road, crossing 14 communes will be constructed in 720 days.
