The Government of Malaysia has opened a Request for Proposal (RfP) for the Elevated Autonomous Rapid Transit (E-ART) system in Iskandar Malaysia under a public-private partnership. Companies registered in Malaysia, including joint ventures and consortia, are invited to submit proposals by June 30, 2025.
The project will improve public transport in Skudai, Tebrau, and Iskandar Puteri, with construction set to begin in Q3 2025. Eligible firms must meet ownership, financial, and project experience criteria, including a minimum RM500 million net worth and prior transport-related contracts worth at least RM500 million.
