Thailand’s Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning has announced that the cost of the LRT system in Phuket is expected to be 23 billion baht. The LRT will span 60 km and cover 20 stations. The route will originate at Tha Nun in Phang Nga, continue to the International Airport, head south through Phuket town and Saphan Hin, continue along the Chao Fa East Road, and finally terminate at Chalong Circle. Enrich Consultants Company Limited, which is carrying out the feasibility study for the project, will submit the final design in January 2015.
