Based on the revised power development plan (PDP) of Thailand’s vertically integrated power utility, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), the agency will need 800 billion baht between 2013 and 2030 to develop power plants and transmission lines in the country. Under the PDP 2013–30, the company aims to increase its generation capacity by 55,000 MW. The country’s estimated power demand was raised from 69,500 MW to 70,686 MW by 2030.
