The Thailand government plans to invite bids for Phuket airport LRT link in 2018. At present, the government plans to hire a private consultant for determining the most suitable investment mode for the project under the PPP law. The project entails an investment of THB 39.4 billion. The first phase will link the Phuket International Airport to Chalong junction in Muang district. The scope of the project also includes construction of six underpasses and an elevated platform at the airport. It is expected to be completed within three years of the commencement of construction.
