Thailand’s airports experienced combined passenger traffic of 8 million in March 2013, 20.9 per cent higher than the 2012 figure. Of the total traffic, about 80 per cent comprised domestic passengers. Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport handled 3.89 million passengers in March 2013. The other major airports in the country are Dong Mueang, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Phuket, and Chiang Rai.
