Solar Visible Company Limited, a subsidiary of Thai Solar Energy Public Company Limited, has completed the acquisition of a 49 per cent stake in BS Solar Energy Company Limited, which owns and operates the 5 MW solar power plant project in Udornthani province, Thailand. The complete acquisition of the solar plant will take place in two stages. In the first stage, Thai Solar Energy Public Company Limited acquired 49 per cent of the total paid-up capital, while in the second stage it will acquire the balance 51 per cent of the paid-up capital, three years from the commercial operation date (COD). The total investment is estimated at THB 219 million ($7.1 million). The Udornthani solar power plant has a PPA with the Provincial Electricity Authority that stipulates the sale of the plant’s output at a feed-in tariff of THB 4.12 per kWh over a period of 25 years.
