Tests have commenced on the second phase of the Putrajaya Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Trails will be conducted on the stretch between Putrajaya Sentral station to the Kwasa Damansara station. Tests will be conducted until December 2022, ahead of the line’s scheduled opening in January 2023.

The Putrajaya Line is a 57.7 km, fully automated MRT line in the Klang Valley. Operations on Phase 1 commenced in June 2022. The 34.7 km-long phase two will include the construction of 26 stations, completing the entire network. Once fully operational, Putrajaya Line is expected to have a ridership of 533,000 passengers per day.
