State-owned investment company Temasek Holdings’ (Temasek) subsidiary, Gas Supply Private Limited (GSPL), a piped gas importer, will hand over its gas trading and marketing operations to Pavilion Gas, another subsidiary of Temasek. In April 2013, Temasek set up Pavilion Energy (PE) to monitor its liquefied natural gas (LNG) operations (both upstream and downstream facilities – storage and regasification). In May 2013, PE subsidiary Pavilion Gas was established to run its downstream gas operations, along with carrying out LNG distribution and trade within the region.
