Indonesian communications firm Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) has clarified that it has no plans to sell shares in its mobile unit, Telkomsel. The company reiterated that it plans to unlock some of its portfolio’s value either through an initial public offering or partnerships. Telkom announced that it is currently looking for a strategic partner for its tower unit, Mitratel, and is reviewing several prospective partners. The company will spin off some of Telkomsel’s towers, which would need approval from major shareholder SingTel.
