Telkom Indonesia is seeking a strategic global partner to accelerate the expansion of its data centre business, amid rising demand driven by cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital services growth in Southeast Asia.
The state-controlled telecommunications operator is exploring collaboration models that may include equity participation, joint ventures or technology partnerships. The move is intended to strengthen capital capacity, enhance technical capabilities and support the scaling of hyperscale-ready facilities across Indonesia and potentially regional markets.
Indonesia’s data centre sector has experienced strong growth in recent years, supported by increasing digital adoption, government data localisation requirements and expansion by global cloud service providers.
