SYMPHONY Communication Public Company Limited and Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation across six areas: intelligent network evolution, optical transport network development, virtualisation and storage infrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, intelligent operations and maintenance (O&M), and talent development. The partnership will support the evolution of SYMPHONY’s IP/MPLS network to improve reliability, automation and service delivery, while exploring AI-enabled network operations and management.
The companies will also jointly develop a dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) data centre interconnect network to address growing traffic demand from data centres, cloud platforms and digital enterprises. Planned technologies include 2 Tbps per wavelength, optical cross-connect (OXC), Super C+L band, automatically switched optical network (ASON) and 3D-Mesh architectures. Additional collaboration will cover virtualisation platforms, storage infrastructure, AI-enhanced storage, neural processing unit (NPU) servers and AI applications. The agreement also includes the potential deployment of Huawei’s iMaster NCE network management platform, alongside technical training, knowledge sharing and expert exchanges.
