The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has launched a diesel train feeder service linking the Southern Line with the Red Line suburban railway system and the MRT Blue Line. Around 20 diesel trains will be deployed on the Southern Line covering 50 km between Thon Buri, Taling Chan and Nakhon Pathom stations.

Regular train services on the Nam Tok-Thon Buri section, as well as suburban trains on the Thon Buri-Ratchaburi-Thon Buri and Suphan Buri-Bangkok sections, have also been adjusted to accommodate the new diesel rail services on the Nakhon Pathom-Taling Chan-Thon Buri line.
