State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced four extension plans for the Bangkok Red Line. The projects will be developed on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis where the private partner will be given a 50-year concession to operate the line. The total investment in the entire project is expected to be THB188 billion.

The tenders are expected to open in June 2022 and construction is scheduled to begin in June 2023.
