ST Engineering will construct a fourth airframe MRO facility in Singapore. The 84,000 square metre hangar facility will be located at Changi Airport. The company has an existing facility at the airport which costs USD170 million.
The new facility will have three maintenance bays for handling widebody aircraft, as well as a fourth line with paint and maintenance capabilities. The first maintenance line is expected to be operational by mid-2025 and full facility by 2026.
Once fully operational, the facility will add an additional 1.3 million airframe maintenance man-hours annually and the 30 per cent share capacity at global MRO capacity.
