The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced plans to construct three double-track railroad routes.  The project will span 634 km and is expected to be developed at an investment of THB113.14 billion. 

The three routes include the 281-km-long Pak Nam Pho-Denchai route, which is expected to cost  THB81.14 billion, while the 308-km-long Jira Junction-Ubon Ratchathani route is expected to be developed at an investment of THB44.1 billion and the final 45-km-long Hat Yai-Padang Besar route will be developed at an investment of THB7.9 billion.

The project has been approved by the National Environment Board and is currently awaiting Cabinet approval.
