The Department of Energy (DOE) of Philippines has authorised Solar Philippines Retail Electricity Incorporated (Solar Philippines) as one of the renewable energy (RE) suppliers under the national government’s Green Energy Option Program (GEOP). The company has not released any fixed allocations as yet. The new addition brings the total number of renewable energy (RE) suppliers qualified under GEOP to 14.

GEOP is a voluntary policy mechanism established by the Government of Philippines in 2018. It allows end-users who consume at least 100 kW of electricity to source their power from authorised RE suppliers.
