SMRT Trains Limited, the main operator of Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), and PCCW Solutions have announced the full roll-out of the Track Access Management System (TAMS) to the MRT’s North-South and East-West lines (NSEWL).

TAMS is a system co-created by SMRT Trains and PCCW Solutions to digitise and automate track access allocation for routine maintenance and engineering work planning. TAMS is an integrated solution that provides end-to-end visibility of workflows by replacing manual operations with real-time insights on track allocation status and access progress. In addition to increasing efficiency, the system includes built-in safety rules that evaluates each planned track access request against safety requirements, ensuring that all stakeholders’ safety standards are met.

There are plans to further deploy TAMS to other lines managed by SMRT Trains in Singapore like the Circle Line (CCL), Bukit Panjang Light Rail Transit (BPLRT) network, and six depots.
