Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), has extended its 5G network to over 2,600 locations in Philippines. All cities and municipalities in Metro Manila, as well as the provinces of Misamis Oriental, Benguet, Zamboanga Sibugay, Cavite, Laguna, Cebu, Bulacan, Iloilo, Aklan, Rizal, Davao and Pampanga have been added to the company’s 5G sites.
Smart’s mobile network coverage now extends to 96 per cent of the Philippines’s population and utilise PLDT’s 429,000-km-long fibre infrastructure.
