South Korea-based SK C&C has received a licence from the Vietnam government to build an intelligent transportation system (ITS) for the Hanoi-Haiphong Expressway. The company will build ITS infrastructure with a traffic control centre for the 105.5 km highway. The expressway is expected to be commissioned in March 2016. SK C&C will incorporate a Nextcore-based ITS platform into toll gates and closed-circuit televisions on the highway to collect real-time traffic information. Drivers can also check traffic information on electronic display boards on the highway.
