Singapore’s Changi Airport won three awards at the 2018 Skytrax World Airport Awards, including World’s Best Airport for the sixth consecutive year, the Best Airport for Leisure Amenities, as well as the Best Airport in Asia.
The 2018 World Airport Awards are based on 13.73 million customer nominations belonging to more than 100 different nationalities, with more than 500 airports worldwide taking part. The survey evaluates traveller experience across various performance indicators for airport service and products including check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration, departure at the gate, etc.
Changi Airport has been awarded for its commitment towards providing comfortable services, airport experience and innovation of new products and services.
The other airports in the top 10 were Incheon International Airport, Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), Hong Kong International Airport, Doha Hamad International Airport, Munich Airport, Central Japan International Airport (Nagoya), London Heathrow Airport, Zurich Airport and Frankfurt Airport. The first four positions were secured by airports in Asia.
