The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) will invest SGD4 billion (USD3.1 billion) over the next 15 years to expand the capacity of the country’s air navigation services. The investment includes the procurement of a next-generation air traffic management system (ATMS) from Thales as part of Singapore’s long-term aviation infrastructure modernization program.
The modernisation program is aimed at expanding the capacity of Singapore’s air navigation services through the deployment of a next-generation air traffic management system and related infrastructure upgrades. The investment will support the enhancement of the country’s air traffic management capabilities to accommodate future growth in air traffic and improve operational efficiency.
The investment forms part of Singapore’s broader strategy to strengthen its aviation infrastructure and maintain its position as a leading regional and global aviation hub. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore is leading the program, with Thales selected to supply the next-generation air traffic management system that will underpin future air navigation services.
