Singapore’s Land Transport Authority has announced the alignment and station locations of the Singapore MRT Cross Island Line (CRL) Phase I. The CRL will be the longest underground line of the Singapore MRT network. Phase I will span 29 km from Aviation Park to Bright Hill, covering 12 stations. It will offer interchange facilities to the East-West, North-East, North-South, and Thomson-East Coast Lines of the Singapore MRT network. Average daily ridership is estimated to be 600,000 passengers. Construction is expected to begin in 2020 and be completed by 2029. Further, studies are being conducted for the other two phases of the line.
