Singapore commissioned Phases 3 and 4 of PSA’s Singapore Terminal’s Pasir Panjang Terminal in June 2015. With the first berths operationalised, Phases 3 and 4 will have a total of 15 berths involving 6,000 metres of quay length. The terminal has automated rail mounted gantry cranes. The project, which is estimated to cost S$3.5 billion ($2.61 billion), will be fully commissioned by end-2017. In the longer term, Singapore plans to consolidate all its container terminals in Tuas involving a total capacity of 65 million twenty-foot equivalent units.
