Singapore-based Sunseap Group Private Limited has secured investments from three Japan-based corporations from its latest Series E funding round, which it plans to spend on projects in Japan. The amount of funds secured has not been disclosed yet.
The three new investors include Sumitomo Corporation, Shikoku Electric Power Company Included and Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company Limited, the latter being a joint venture between Sumitomo Corp and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Included.
Sunseap’s investment in the expansion of solar operations in Japan will assist Japan’s target to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
