Singapore Airlines reported a net profit of $121.8 million during the first quarter of 2013–14, an increase of 56 per cent over the corresponding period of 2012–13. Further, the company’s revenue for the first quarter registered a year-on-year increase of 1.6 per cent to reach S$3.84 billion, principally due to the sale of its 49 per cent stake in Virgin Atlantic to Delta Air Lines.
