Singapore Airlines and the Tata Group plan to introduce a full-service airline in India. The total investment stands at S$125.1 million, with the Tata Group owning 51 per cent and Singapore Airlines the remainder. Meanwhile, the Tata Group joined hands with Malaysia’s AirAsia to introduce a low-fare airline in India in February 2013. The Tata Group that has a minority stake in the low-cost venture plans to launch the service by early 2014.
