Asia Aviation Capital Limited, AirAsia Berhad’s aircraft leasing unit, has appointed Simon Perkins as its Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective October 1, 2016. Perkins comes with 20 years of experience in commercial and banking/leasing industries in Asia and Europe.
Prior to this, Perkins served as Head of Asia Pacific Aviation Finance at Standard Chartered in Singapore and was responsible for building the bank’s Asian aviation finance business from inception. Besides, Perkins has also served as Standard Chartered Bank’s COO, Corporate Finance, in Singapore, at UBS in London and Singapore and at KPMG in London. Perkins is a chartered accountant and received a BSc (Hons.) in Economics and an Accounting degree from Bristol University, UK.
