Siemens Mobility, along with partners Bozankaya and ST Engineering Urban Solutions (Thailand) Limited, has signed significant contracts to enhance Thailand’s rail infrastructure. The agreements include delivering 53 new trains and upgrading signalling and maintenance systems for Bangkok’s MRT Orange and Blue Lines. Siemens will also contribute to expanding intercity connectivity with the Den Chai–Chiang Rai–Chiang Khong double-track railway project. These initiatives, commissioned by CH. Karnchang and Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited, aim to bolster sustainability and efficiency in Thailand’s rail network.

For the MRT Orange Line, Siemens Mobility will deliver 32 three-car trains and integrate advanced systems across a 35.9-km route. Meanwhile, the Blue Line will receive 21 new trains and updated signalling systems to enhance its 48-km network. Siemens is also responsible for implementing ETCS Level 1-compliant signalling systems for the Den Chai–Chiang Rai–Chiang Khong line, improving intercity rail connectivity. These projects will run from 2024 to 2039, reinforcing Siemens Mobility’s three-decade-long partnership with Thailand.
