Siemens Mobility, with Bozankaya and ST Engineering Urban Solutions, has secured contracts to enhance Bangkok’s MRT Orange and Blue Lines in Thailand. The Orange Line project involves delivering 32 trains and integrated systems for a 35.9 km route, while the Blue Line will receive 21 new trains and upgraded signalling systems. Both projects include long-term maintenance agreements.

Additionally, Siemens will modernize Northern Thailand’s Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong railway with advanced signalling systems, improving intercity connectivity. These projects highlight Siemens’ ongoing role in Thailand’s rail infrastructure development.

The contracts involve the installation of a communications system, SCADA system, and AGIL Platform Screen Door solution for the MRT Orange Line. These systems will enhance operations, predictive maintenance, and real-time monitoring. The Orange Line, connecting eastern and western Bangkok, is expected to serve 400,000 daily passengers by 2030.
