Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded a USD305 million contract to a consortium of Siemens Mobility and Concord Corporation for the power supply system of the driverless Cross Island Line (CRL). The contract includes work on electrification, overhead catenary rigid power supply, and signalling systems.
Additionally, the LTA has awarded the final civil contract for Phase 2 of the line to Sinohydro, which will design and build tunnels between Maju and Clementi stations for approximately USD152 million. Sinohydro has previously built the Pasir Ris East station and is currently constructing the Clementi station. Phase 2 of the Cross Island Line is scheduled for completion in 2032.
