Siemens Logistics and T7 Global will design, install and commission a new baggage handling system (BHS) at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KL) Terminal 1 in Malaysia. Siemens will supply its VarioTray and VarioBelt technology, as well as the VarioStore early bag store and high-performance controlling software. Existing BHS will be phased out as well.
The modernisation project will be carried out in three phases and once completed, will increase the terminal’s storage capacity by 2,500 spaces.
