Thailand’s Siam Seaplane is set to launch medical evacuation (medevac) operations in November 2026 in partnership with the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM). The initial service will use a Cessna C208B Grand Caravan EX to provide medical transport between major airports and regional airfields across Thailand, improving connectivity between remote areas and urban medical centres.

The service is planned to expand to international missions and seaplane operations in 2027, subject to regulatory approval targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026. The aircraft’s wide cargo door and spacious, non-pressurised cabin are suited to carrying medical equipment and supporting medical teams during emergency transport.
