Shell Energy Philippines Incorporation (SEPH) is expanding its renewable energy capacity to meet the rising demand for clean power from commercial and industrial customers.
SEPH has signed new supply agreements, including a partnership with PetroSolar Corporation for 20 MW from the Tarlac-2 solar plant and an agreement with Daiichi Properties to power office buildings with renewable energy. It also confirmed a deal with a data center operator, signaling a focus on high-demand sectors such as data centers, semiconductors, and electronics manufacturing.
As a direct participant in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), SEPH supplies over 100 commercial and industrial clients across real estate, manufacturing, education, and retail. With the Philippine data centre market projected to reach USD1.97 billion within five years, the company sees significant growth potential for renewable energy integration.
