Shah Hakim Zain has been appointed as the new CEO of Malaysia-based Scomi Marine Bhd. He has taken over from Mukhnizam Mahmud. Shah Hakim would be taking on full-time management of the operations of PT Rig Tenders Indonesia Tbk, the company’s 80.54 per cent subsidiary. He is also the CEO and executive director of Scomi Group Bhd.
Shah Hakim was appointed on the Scomi Group’s board of directors in March 2003. He started his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young and was promoted as consulting manager. He went on to be appointed as executive director of a regional packaging manufacturer in 1992, with direct operational responsibility. He currently sits on the board of Sapura Industrial Bhd, Scomi Marine Bhd, Scomi Engineering Bhd and KMCOB Capital Bhd.
