Several companies express interest in the PhP 35.42 billion CALAX project

Various companies have expressed interest in the PhP 35.42 billion Cavite–Laguna Expressway (CALAX): San Miguel Corporation, Korea Expressway Corporation, Alloy MTD Philippines Incorporated, Macquarie Infrastructure Holdings (Philippines) Pte Limited, Megawide Engineering Excellence and Leighton Contractors (Philippines) Incorporation, Makati Development Corporation, AC Infrastructure Holdings Corporation, EGIS Projects Developer of Infrastructure & Service, Metro Pacific Tollways Development Corporation, and Aboitizland Incorporated. CALAX is the third project of the Department of Public Works and Highways, implemented under the public–private partnership (PPP) model. It involves the financing, design and construction, and operation and maintenance of the entire four-lane 47 km closed-system tolled expressway to connect the Cavite Tollroad and the South Luzon expressways.
