Thailand-based developer Serm Sang Palang Ngan has awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to Sharp for the construction of a 52 MW DC solar photovoltaic power plant in Lop Buri province of Thailand. Sharp will also supply 400,000 thin-film modules and balance of system components. The construction of the power plant is scheduled for completion at end-2014.
