Sembcorp Industries Limited has entered into a long-term agreement with Experia Events’ Changi Exhibition Centre (CEC) to install 6.3 MW of solar panels on the rooftop of CEC in Singapore. As per the agreement, Sembcorp is required to build, own and operate the rooftop solar system comprising more than 15,000 photovoltaic panels to help meet the onsite power needs of the facility. The panels are expected to generate over 7,840 MW of green power annually and any surplus electricity will be fed back into the grid. The project is expected to be completed in November 2019.
