Piet Van Zyl has been named the CRO of Singapore-based Selo Group. He will be in charge of enhancing Selo’s existing regeneration efforts and implementing new company-wide programmes for the company’s projects in Indonesia’s Lombok and Malaysia’s Tioman Island.
Van Zyl has been a veteran sustainability professional who specialises in energy, water, and waste analyses and optimization, as well as standards audits and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing inspections.
Van Zyl previously worked at Alila Hotels and Resorts as group director of engineering and sustainability and played a key role in the company’s zero-waste-to-landfill programme in Bali.
