The Government of Selangor is targeting to install 1,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the Malaysian state by 2025. This is part of a broader national strategy of the Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint 2021-2030, which aims to increase EV charging stations in the country to 10,000 by 2025.
The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has proposed a one-time subsidy for EV ownership to lower entry barriers in the industry. Additionally, plans are underway to enhance the charging network by increasing the installation of DC charging stations and applying a unified service fee.
