The Southeast Asia Clean Energy Facility II (SEACEF II) has invested USD10 million in Nami Distributed Energy to advance its distributed energy solutions, which include larger-scale rooftop solar installations and on-site energy solutions like battery storage and energy efficiency systems (BESS) in Vietnam.
This funding aligns with Vietnam’s new Decree 80/2024/ND-CP, which establishes a direct power purchase agreement (DPPA) mechanism. This decree allows renewable energy producers to sell electricity directly to large consumers, providing significant opportunities for businesses to access cost-effective renewable energy.
