Half of the construction work on Road No. 15A linking Saravan city to Road No. 13 South at Napong village in Kong district has been completed. The construction work began in October 2011 and is likely to be finished in April 2014. The 70 km road will link the provincial capital to the districts of Saravan, Vapee, and Kong. The width of the road varies from 11 metres in urban areas to 7 metres near villages. In addition, 15 bridges are being constructed as part of the project. The estimated cost of the project is about 524.87 billion kip.
