Samaiden Sdn Bhd (SSB), a subsidiary of Samaiden Group Bhd, has been selected by Malaysia’s Energy Commission to develop a 99.99 MW Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic Plant in Pasir Mas, Kelantan. This project, awarded under the Package 3 category, is part of Malaysia’s renewable energy expansion goals. A 21-year Solar Power Purchase Agreement with Tenaga Nasional Bhd will ensure long-term revenue. The plant is scheduled to begin operations on October 2027, supplying electricity to the national grid.
The project will align with Malaysia’s target of achieving a 70 per cent renewable energy (RE) mix by 2050. The initiative demonstrates Samaiden’s expertise in large-scale renewable energy projects and its commitment to environmental sustainability.
