Ride-hailing service launched at KTMB rail stations in Malaysia

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB), a rail operator, has partnered with Kumpool to provide ride-hailing services at rail stations in Malaysia in a move to encourage commuters to use public transport. The service will be available at all KTM Komuter, electric train service (ETS), and KTM Intercity stations. Fares will start from RM1.

Trials of the van-hailing service commenced in December 2022 at the Subang Jaya Station on the KTM Kommuter line, which records footfall of around 48,000 passengers per month. Starting July 2023, the service will also be launched at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Station before expanding to the southern region.
